    Although it has been snowing in several parts of central and western Macedonia since morning, the road network has not facing problems. It is snowing in the outskirts of the Serres prefecture, Kilkis, Veria, Kozani, in the prefecture of Thessaloniki in Halkidona, Oreokastro, Melissochori, as well as on the highlands of Zagliveri and Sohou. The Traffic Police is advising drivers to be careful when driving especially in the outskirts of Thessaloniki so that accidents are averted.

    Cars using the Florina-Kastoria road network through Vigla and Vitsi should carry anti-skid chains.

    Meanwhile, dozens of houses and shops have flooded, while the strong rainfall on Thursday evening has caused damages to over 30 kilometres rural roads, the sewage network in Amaliada, Andravida and Vartholomio in the Ilia prefecture. Railway service between Patras and Pyrgos has been suspended and passengers continue their trip in coaches. Moreover, the Patras-Pyrgos national road remained closed for two hours.
