    Shortly after the IMF positive comments on the course of the fiscal program, the government states its commitment to implement the memorandum as the only solution for the country's fiscal recovery. This week the government is concluding a circle of contacts with representatives of production sectors in view of Thessaloniki International Fair. In the meantime, opposition political parties and social sectors intensify reactions.

    Contacts in View of ITF Conclude

    On Monday, representatives of the business world meet with the Ministers for Finance and Economics and the undersecretaries for Finance and Employment, Mr. Sahinidis and Mr. Koutroumanis respectively in view of ITF.

    A meeting with the Federation of Greek Commerce followed by a meeting with the Central union of Greek Chambers will take place at the Ministry of Finance on Monday morning.

    A meeting with the Industrialists' Union is scheduled for the afternoon with the participation of Ministers for Finance, Economics, Environment, Energy and Global Warming, and Education as well as Finance and Employment undersecretaries.

    Pangalos: Structural Reforms Necessary

    Deputy premier T. Pagalos, in an interview with "Realnews" newspaper underlined that the government is proceeding to structural reforms which were necessary a long time ago. He also stressed that the memorandum provided for the country's financing and criticized ones who denounce it without proposing an alternative solution.

    Loverdos

    Employment Minister A. Loverdos ruled out implementation of new measures, underlining that completion of structural changes and growth will bring the country's recovery.

    He refused to talks about government reshuffle while he underlined that there was no question about a possible candidacy for the Athens Municipality.

    In response to ones who focus political speech on the memorandum, Mr. Loverdos said: "to exit the memorandum, Greece must implement it without any deviations".

    Commenting SYRIZA party expressed certainty that new painful measures with salary cuts will follow assurances by Finance and Employment Ministers that there would not be any new measures.

    Samaras : Memorandum will not bear fruit

    In his article in "Realnews" newspaper ND leader A. Samaras says that the memorandum kills Greek economy and dissolves Greek society. He proposes a combination policy combating deficit and recession at the same time.
