NEWS HEADLINES[A] GREECE[B] BALKANS[C] EUROPE[D] WORLDNEWS IN DETAIL[A] GREECE[01] PANGALOS STRONGLY CRITICIZED ANKARAWeb Posted: 20:34 GMT+2Athens 31 August (MPA)In an interview to the newspaper "TO VIMA TIS KIRIAKIS" Greek Foreign Minister Theodoros Pangalos strongly criticized Turkey and characterized the country as "a problem for international order".Mr.Pangalos issued a strong warning to Ankara to clarify its position on the Imia islets, pointing out that in any other case there will be no meeting of the Greek and Turkish specialists on the issue of the relations between the two countries. The Greek Foreign Minister also called on the international community and especially on the United States to take measures against Turkey in the economic sector and in armaments, while he announced that he will meet with his Turkish counterpart Ismael Cem and US mediator Richard Halbrooke on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Regarding the Foreign Ministry's relations with the Patriarchate, he pointed out that the ministry is ready to offer material and moral support to the activities of the Patriarchate and added that himself personally will welcome with great joy the Ecumenical Patriarch to Athens. The Princess of Wales and her Egyptian friend Dodi Alfayed were the victims of a car crash in a Paris tunnel that occurred as their driver, who was also killed, was trying to avoid photo reporters who were chasing them on motorcycles.Diana was taken to an east Paris hospital with serious injuries and extensive internal bleeding in the chest area and shortly after her arrival she died.
