Arvanitis" <mac3exa@CABELL.VCU.EDU>Dear Friends, The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Hellenic Society of Paideia of Virginia will be held on March 30, 1996 at the Virginia Museum of Arts in Richmond, Virginia (2800 Grove Avenue) The theme of this year's Symposium is THE GREEK LEGACY AND SPIRIT OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES THE PROGRAM INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TALKS(2:00 - 5:30 PM at the Museum Auditorium): The Genesis of the Olympic Games: Myths and Facts by K.K. Hatzios, Virginia Tech The Story of the Olympic Games Told by Paintings in Greek Vases, Dr. Margaret Mayo, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Spyridon Louis: The Legendary Marathon Winner of the 1986 Olympiad, Dr. Aristidis Sismanis, MCV, VCU Video Presentation of Ancient Olympia and Olympic Games Cultural Program featuring Dances from various areas of Greece presented by the Byzantion Dancers of the Richmond Cathedral (Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church). Dinner (6:00 - 8:00 PM) at the Marble Hall of the Museum Dinner tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for students.
