Conference on Hellenism and the USA at Yale in February

HELLENISM AND THE UNITED STATES
The Yale College Hellenic Society would like to extend an invitation to all
those interested in attending a conference on "Hellenism and the United
States". The conference will be focusing on United States policy towords
Greece and Cyprus, and the role of Greek-Americans in determining this
policy.
The conference will be held on Saturday, February 8th 1997 at Yale
University. Keynote speakers will include: Greek Ambassador Loucas Tsilas,
a Cypriot embassy official, the vice-president of AHEPA, George Savvidis,
the president of the Foundation for Hellenic Culture, Peter Papas,
correspondent of Kathimerini, Alexis Papahelas. Invitations have also been
extended to: White House Aide George Stefanopoulos, US Senator Paul
Sarbanes, Representative of the World Hellenism Council, Paul Tsongas.
