The Hellenic-Canadian Federation of Ontario,
the Hellenic Canadian Congress (representing all major Greek-Canadian
organizations in Canada) and the Canadian Institute of International
Affairs are pleased to announce an upcoming conference
titled -
Conflicts in the Eastern Mediterranean: Issues of Regional Security and
Stability.
The event will take place on February 6 and 7, 1999 in Toronto, Canada.
Confirmed Speakers include Greece's Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs
George Papandreou, US State Department special representative
Thomas Miller, Canadian Major-General (ret) Lewis MacKenzie, Dean Van
Coufoudakis of Purdue-Indiana Universities. US Senator Ted Kennedy has been invited to be the
Key note speaker. The very important conference will deal with numerous
and timely issues such as the sale of nuclear technology to Turkey, the
S-300 missile system crisis, the Kurdish question, and other regional
issues.
