COLLEGE YEAR IN ATHENS
Friends and alumni of the oldest and most prestigious college year abroad
program in Greece will be gathering to honor College Year in Athens in
three east coast cities this spring.
On April 10, Greek Consul General John Economides will host a benefit
cocktail reception in the Consulate building, overlooking the Boston Public
Garden. The next night in New York, there will be a private lecture and
tour of "Glory of Byzantium" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, followed by
a benefit supper for College Year in Athens at a private residence on Park
Avenue. In May, the Greek Ambassador to the United States, Loucas Tsilas,
will be hosting a benefit for College Year in Athens at the Greek Embassy
in Washington, DC, May 20.
The program, which brings American college students to Greece to study
during their junior year, also sponsors a summer language and academic
study session for adults annually on the Greek island of Poros. For further
information, call 617-494-0019.
