The Hellenic Society of the University of Reading invites you to the WEEK OF HELLENIC CULTURE. Various activities will take place from FRIDAY, 13th March to WEDNESDAY, 18th March 1998 in the University of Reading.

A series of events that brings you closer to Hellenic culture from antiquity till today.

Friday, 13 March: Modern Greek film by Theo Angelopoulos
"Ulysses' Gaze"
19:00-22:00, room G27, Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences

Saturady, 14 March: Performance of the traditional greek dances group
and various music groups of the Hellenic Society
19:00-22:00, Main Hall, Students Union

Sunday, 15 March: Greek food fare (50p for non-members)
Greek poetry (representing literature periods)
"Never on Sunday" film by Jules Dassin, starring Melina Mercouri
18:30-22:00, Theatre, Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences

Wednesday, 18 March: Lecture on Greek-Turkish relations by Prof.
Neoklis Sarris of Panteios University of Athens
14:30, room G27, Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences

During the Hellenic Week, information (leaflets, brochures, posters, books etc.) will be available about tourism in Greece & Cyprus and various national issues.
