World Music is proud to present The Golden Age of Rembetika featuring Agathonas Iakovidis & Kompania with special guest Lela Papadopoulou on Saturday, April 28, 8pm, at the Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston. Agathonas Iakovidis has been the leading Rembetika singer and baglama player in the nightclubs of Thessaloniki and Athens for the past three decades. His 10-member ensemble includes bouzouki, guitar, clarinet, zsoura (small lute), violin and percussion. Lela Papadopoulou, a great entertainer and renowned singer and accordionist, has performed with the legends of Rembetika Vamvakaris, Papaioannao and others.

If you would like to try to put a group together, we are happy to offer you a group rate at reduced prices. Groups of 20 or more will receive at 20% discount off regular ticket prices! The $28 will be reduced to $21 and the $22 tickets will be reduced to $16.50. If you are planning to bring a group to the show, please let me know as soon as possible and I will do my best to put aside a good block of tickets. Group tickets must be purchased in advance through World Music.
