TWO FACULTY POSITION OPENINGS

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece is announcing the opening of two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor or Lecturer level.

The first opening is in APPLIED PROBABILITY/STATISTICS IN INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT, in the area of Industrial Engineering / Management Science.

The second opening is in MECHANICAL DESIGN IN COMPUTATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS, in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

The DEADLINE for the submission of candidacies is MARCH 15, 2004.

The positions offer the opportunity to teach and conduct research in a department with highly qualified faculty (currently 16 appointed members) and students (undergraduate and graduate) in a growing research university setting. The Department brings together engineers around a curriculum that fuses mechanical, manufacturing, chemical and industrial engineering.

Greek language and E.U. nationality are required for the positions.
