THETA has an opening for an: RFIC DESIGN MANAGER

The Major responsibilities for the RFIC Design Manager will be

a. Managing a group of IC design and layout engineers developing RFICs for OFDM radio applications

b. Manage all design phase from concept to release to the manufacturing team

c. Managing design and test subcontractors

Skills

a. MSEE or PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent experience required

b. In addition to education, must have at least 10 years of hands-on RFIC design

c. In-depth knowledge of wireless RF transceiver design, especially OFDM transceivers and frequency synthesizers

d. Familiarity with wireless RF transceiver architecture (low IF, zero IF, superheterodyne, etc) and experience generating building block specifications from system specifications

e. Knowledge of RF CMOS and SiGe BiCMOS processes

f. Must have experience managing the IC design process, including prior experience setting schedules and budgets, and successfully adhering to them

g. Successful candidate will display outstanding leadership and communication skills, a self - motivated attitude and an excellent team spirit

h. Familiarity with the Cadence Spectre design tool and Virtuoso layout environment

i. Demonstrated experience in building world - class RF engineering teams
