Senior Software Product Release & Quality Assurance Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of innovative EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software products for a fast-growing microelectronics company in Athens, Greece. You will be working with the CTO and Product Engineering Manager to plan, manage and coordinate multiple releases. Your responsibilities will include management of software assets and development of quality processes, quality tracking and assurance systems.

Job Responsibilities:

* Develop and deploy automated scripts for regular software builds.

* Implement and deploy test plans for products, verify bug fixes, maintain version history and signoff release notes.

* Work with the product manager to plan and coordinate releases. Evaluate progress, mitigate risk and communicate status of releases.

* Develop company quality management standards, policies and processes.

* Develop and monitor productivity and quality metrics for software product development.

* Work with documentation team to provide accurate documentation.

* Participate in defining EDA product feature sets, tool flows and application areas.

* Participate in the review of implementation specifications and help interface R&D with field organization.

* Help in planning and managing customer-specific releases.

* Assist in developing strategies to solve complex problems.

Qualifications and Skills:

* BS & MSc. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

* 3+ years of professional experience in the development of software products for technical applications.

* Knowledge of C/C++, OO programming concepts, Linux/Unix/Gnu tools, build utilities, scripts (TCL/Perl), shells.

* Semiconductor Design, EDA and Circuit Simulation experience are plusses.

* Working knowledge of QA concepts such as regression testing, test plans etc.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
