ANKARA - The reasoned verdict of the case on ''Sivas Incidents'' which resulted in the killings of 37 persons on July 2, 1993 in Madımak hotel, was announced on Thursday.

Ankara State Security Court (DGM) No. 1 announced its verdict which sentenced 33 suspects to death at the end of the third trial.

The Turkish state in the past didn't kill the innocent people of even its mortal enemy, it shared its bread with them and helped them in every field, '' the verdict noted.

''It is clearly seen that the activity, which showed the views and acts of Aziz Nesin, a famous writer, as an excuse, was in fact directed at removing the principles of republicanism and secularism which are two of the most important principles of the constitutional order,'' it said.
