SARAJEVO - The vice-president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/
Velibor Ostojic received in Pale in the farewell visit the political
director of OSCE Vladimir Kuznietsov and thanked him on the behalf of
Government on adherence on principles and impartiality in work in OSCE
Mission. "Mr. Kuznietsov, in the framework of his mandate, while working
honestly and impartially, has shown the understanding for Serbian issue and
finding the truth about what happened to Serbian people" - stressed Ostojic
after the meeting.
BELGRADE - The member of the Federal Committee for collecting data about
war crimes against humanity and international justice Ilija Simic claims
that "Moslem-Croatian top officials, headed by Alija Izetbegovic was
responsible for crimes against Serbs in Moslem part of Sarajevo and whole
former B&H". Simic accused Izetbegovic for forcible secession of B&H from
SFRY: "Amendments on the Constitution of SRB&H were entered in the middle
of the year 1990 and according to the amendment 69.7 was forbidden, along
with other things, political organising and acting on endangering
territorial integrity of SFRY. That provision was in accordance with the
Constitution of SFRY". "Contrary to the mentioned constitutional ban,
Moslems in B&H, together with Croats, were preparing themselves politically
and militarily for forcible secession of B&H from SFRY", stressed Simic in
an interview for SRNA.
BELGRADE - The president of the Association for aid for refugees and
expelled persons from B&H and Croatia in FR Yugoslavia Milorad Muratovic
stated that the association from 5 until 20 January will continue to
register those who are interested for return to Sarajevo, Tuzla, Mostar and
Herzegovina. The Association until now registered 224 families who
expressed the wish to return to Sarajevo, so that at the basis of this
pilot programme in each of eight Sarajevo municipalities will return 28
families - said Muratovic.
BELGRADE - The Belgrade's mufty (jurist) Hamdija Jusufspahic did not read
the leaflet "by which the Sarajevo Moslems were called on boycott of the
Christian festivities" and gave a message that "nobody forbid Moslems to
congratulate Christians their holidays". He said in the statement for SRNA
that Islam even "recommend that, but along with the condition that Moslem
believers do not sin in their religion".
KOTOR VAROS - The winner of the 15th traditional chess tournament "Proleks
'97", at which participated 45 chess players from whole RS, is the FIDE-
master Aleksandar Stevanovic from Banja Luka with 8 points and without
defeat.
