[04] Movement to Restructure the Centre - World War II
Nicosia, May 6 (CNA) - The Movement to Restructure the Centre notes that
"Cyprus had one of the largest participations" in World War II, taking into
consideration the population of the country, and that "unfortunately, the
winners forgot their promises and denied the people of Cyprus the right to
self- determination".
In a press release to commemorate the anniversary of the end of World War
II, the Movement says that those "winners" have to date approached the
Cyprus problem "not with the measure of justice, human rights and UN
principles", but with the effort for partnership with Turkey, which
"refused to stand by its allies and fight for human ideals".
