    [03] Cyprus Spokesman UN Secretary-General

Nicosia, Oct 5 (CNA) The Cyprus government has described a recent statement by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the Cyprus peace effort as "particularly important", noting that it puts the record straight following different interpretations of an earlier statement by Annan at the beginning of the last round of UN-led proximity talks.
