[01] Former TT president Fillipidis arrested in Turkey
Former Hellenic Postbank (TT) president Angelos Fillipidis was arrested
late Friday in Istanbul, said police on Saturday.
Fillipidis' arrest, against who was pending an international warrant for
the TT case, was held in cooperation of the Turkish and Greek authorities.
Angelos Fillipidis was arrested on Friday night at the hotel he stayed
in Istanbul, said Fillipidis' lawyer Athanassios Varlamis on Saturday.
Varlamis also clarified that he had informed the examining magistrate
for Corruption Giorgos Andreadis that his client will appear before him
on Monday.
Fillipidis is facing charges for corruption offenses relating to
malpractice, fraud and money laundering, associated with TT loans.
