    ANA/MPA---Current Development Minister Nikos Dendias on Friday was appointed Defence Minister, by decision of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, as outgoing Defence Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos is due to assume duties as European Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs.

    Deputy Kostas Skrekas is the new Development Minister.

    [02] Artificial underground tunnel found in fourth chamber of Kasta Tomb

    ANA/MPA---The excavation at Kasta Tomb, in ancient Amphipolis, revealed an underground artificial tunnel with dimensions 4x2.10m, which was covered with sand (as the rest of the monument) during the removal of soil from the fourth chamber which is the focus of the excavation works in the last days.

    According to a Culture Ministry's announcement on Friday, during the removal of the sand, a marble door with dimensions 2x0.90x0.15 was revealed. The door, which weighs approximately 1.5 tonnes, was found in the tunnel. The removal of the door is underway.
