Turkey and the World Health Organisation are alarmed after a third person died of bird flu. According to the doctors at Van Hospital, in east Turkey, this morning the 11-year-old-girl, whose older siblings died of the same disease, breathed her last. Hulya Kocyigit was hospitalised in the ICU for several days and she breathed with the help of machines. Hulya was the third member of the same family to have died from the deadly virus. Her 14-year-old brother died on Sunday and her 15-year-old sister died yesterday. The youngest child of the family is also hospitalised in Van, along with 23 more people with bird flu symptoms.

AEK claimed a great 82-75 victory over Bologna on match day nine for Euroleagues Group A. This victory broke a negative streak of seven consecutive defeats AEK suffered both in Greece and Europe. And at the same time, AEK still stand some chances of advancing to the next round. The score per period: 19-14, 33-32, 57-51, 82-75.
